Ergeton Road Synagogue

Stamford Hill, North London, UK, 2019

The Great Synagogue

The proposal consists of extensions to the Marcus Samuel Building adjoining the listed Egerton Road Synagogue to provide much needed additional accommodation including a Sukkah (covered courtyard) and a Mikvah (bathhouse).

The designs have been carefully considered to take into account the traditional nature of both the Mikvah and the Sukkah within the Jewish faith and provide a facility which would not just serve the community but also create an atmosphere of warmth, well-being and harmony.

Sensibility, a timeless design and a robust construction aims to present a building with a sense of permanence to serve the community for generations.
